My son was 10 years, and he and his friends decided to go into a newly built house and damaged fixtures inside. When the cops came, we the parents of the kids told the officers to go ahead and give him and his friends the experience of what happens when they do wrong. They even handcuffed the kids and put them in paddywagon. Drove them to police station. The kids didn’t ever get in trouble again. My son is 30 now he tells me that experience taught him that he never wants to get in trouble and go to jail. I think we did the right decision. I hope this little one is gonna be fine.

I grew up in a small town . I got taken to jail by the town sheriff for stealing a g.i.joe at 11 years old. Terrified me. He didnt charge me ,he just held me in the jail cell until my dad came an got me. I never did it again though and have never got in trouble with cops again. At the time it was scary, but as an adult i realized it was a good thing. It made me realize there are consequences to my actions at a young age. I learn real young that you can play whatever game you want in life, but you got to be willing to pay the tab when the tab comes due and it always will.
