I think they were very under staffed. Anyone can see by looking at the venue that the shed he was on should’ve been covered. What bothers me more is that the Trump goers saw the guy and were telling the cops they saw the guy with the gun. WTH? Why didn’t they have drones in the air? Its very disturbing. Don’t get me wrong, I love our cops and secret Service. Who was in charge? Should be canned!
“Gross incompetence”? Gross incompetence might account for a few of the errors and omissions seen at the Trump rally, but it cannot possibly account for the sheer number and incredible extent of the errors on display. And why, btw, are we worried about the “stature” of Trump’s “personal protection team”, when they weren’t even on the friggin’ podium platform (as they should be)? Instead of standing nearby, blocking a clear shot at the protectee, this whole group was down in the bleachers, moving people around in the seats. They actually had to bolt toward the platform and climb up it. By the time the folks who are supposed to be standing next to him got to him, the shooting was over!!! Utterly useless and completely contrary to doctrine. No, I’m sorry, you cannot explain what went on in Pennsylvania by calling it “incompetence”. The Secret Service had to have been complicit and they should all be investigated as accomplices to an attempted assassination.

Why did they leave Trump on stage for two minutes while an armed threat was 130 yards away with straight site to the stage, were they making bets if Trump was going to catch the bullets!
