I have 3 paid off older vehicles, one being a 2000 Chevy Silverado 4×4. I’ll drop 20k into a restoration before I buy new. I’ll never be in a position to by new and that’s fine with me.
If they made throwback models they’d kill the market.
If they made quality cars we wouldn’t be buying vehicles from Toyota and Mercedes.
Vehicles are overpriced and the quality is mediocre at best. Better to buy used, preferably made before 2021.

I used to be a Ford fan as did my dad. I’ve had a Mustang, Escort, F150, a Ranger and 2 Tauruses. All were made 2012 and before. I was happy with all of the vehicles. Some were bought new, some were hand-me-downs and some were second party. The prices have gone way up and are no longer affordable for the average working and/or retired person and the quality has gone down. Then Ford became WOKE and that was their downfall. I will never buy an EV after reading all of the problems and dangers. The expense to purchase one is outrageous and then be able to
afford the upkeep is ridiculous. Another stupid idea from the Dumbocrats. I often wonder how long it will take for these WOKE companies to wake up and realize they been fed a line of sh*t all along. We need to bring manufacturing back to the US and stop buying sub-standard expensive parts and products from China and other communist countries.
This is not uniquely a Ford problem, although the idea of an EV version of an F150 may be a benchmark in stupidity. An EV does not like a load or cold weather. So much for selling one north of Atlanta. Sitting on the showroom floor, a Lightning weighs as much as a gas F150 at max gross due to batteries. Comes already fully loaded. In Winter, it can’t get out of the driveway. Hang a small trailer on the back and it won’t get to the city limits and back without a recharge. As for pollution, particulates from tire and brake wear are far higher than a gas version due to the extra weight. These are far more than the tailpipe output so easily cleaned up in the catalytic converter. An EV is actually dirtier than a lighter gas version and the battery production and disposal is incredible. Uncomfortable facts for the “green” crowd that refuses to recognize that there are no longer glaciers in New York City for some reason. CO2 is otherwise known as “plant food” and convertible to oxygen for human consumption. It is called a “carbon cycle” and is the basis for most life on Earth. Stop it and it won’t matter if the seas rise as there won’t be any life left to get wet.
Did Ford believe that lying, treasonous thief Bribem and jump in with the EV hoax? I will never by an electric or Chinese vehicle. Keep my Focus and put a ton of cash into it. Stop driving first! Put Bribem/Harris in Leavenworth!

It’s not Biden or Trump’s fault that Ford has been building crappy cars for decades. People want quality vehicles from Japan and South Korea instead. Stupid Trump wants to add tariffs to those so we pay way more for quality. That won’t make Fords one bit better.

Yes, Trump proved in less than one term that he was totally clueless and incompetent about running the country. He showed that he knew nothing about economics, budgeting, foreign affairs, science, technology, history or religion.
