Thank you so much for your video and sensible comments. I am Jewish and considered white (though I’ve tested myself against a piece of copy paper and I don’t really match). I grew up friends who were black, Italian, Hispanic, Japanese, Chinese, white, Christian, as well as, Jewish. We weren’t a melting pot, we were a stew. We each had different customs, food preferences, and thoughts on G-d. What brought us together was the fact that we were all nice, honest people from families who valued education and hard-work and never paid attention to external differences.
Thank you, Deb. I’m black, an immigrant, and feel the same about our shared humanity. It only feels this way because of the information desert we happen to be inhabiting. But I do believe that people like us are in the majority. The only way we can get out of the wasteland is by winning over each other one by one.
During the 1960s many black Americans moved to Africa to live in the “motherland.” Most came back in 2 years or less from the “motherland.” As bad as they thought America was, it was still better than living in the “motherland.”
